Pat Lazear: Lazear is your prototype middle linebacker. He reads and reacts and blows up anything inside the box. He has good lateral movement and goes well sideline-to-sideline.........The 6-1, 230 lb linebacker was an honor roll student at Wheaton (Md.) High School and reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1660 SAT score.....Lazear was team captain and recorded 125 tackles and nine forced fumbles as a senior, earning all-metro recognition. .........Lazear did have some legal problems during his junior year of high school that forced him to finish his senior season at a different school, however the Mountaineer coaches feel they know enough about this young man and his past is not an issue.
